So…where has all the chivalry gone? Go ahead, pin me old-fashioned, so much so that I bet most of you reading this, despite your higher educations, had to think a good while about what the actual definition of that word is. Haha, still thinking…? Let me help. Chivalry is the medieval knightly code of ethics, morals and religious values that is bound up and uncompromisingly defined as such: honor, courtliness, nobility, selflessness, gallantry, heroism, bravery and even being well bred. Immediately, like an orchestra on cue, the Enemy began raking my door…first with his nails, playfully trodding the left to right ‘horse-trot’ sound we’re all so farmiliar with. This was as eerie as it was horrific as it both announced he was once again going to have his say in smashing in my heart’s front door, consuming any energy I would have, yet leaving just enough to feel sick to my stomach to keep me from falling to my stomach. If you all have your 8-balls this is when you shake them to see how the story is going to turn out: “Outlook not so good…” Read the rest of this entry »
